The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that is middle-of-the-road. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but doesn't have the features that make up its more expensive sibling.
During testing, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats from medium-pile carpets. It doesn't employ LIDAR however, as other models do to locate your home.
1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the top-rated robots. It offers impressive cleaning power and plenty of features such as a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. It can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest schedules that are automatic to ensure you have a hands-free experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the touch of the button. You can select a general clean that prioritizes cleaning up larger debris like rice and cereal or go for two detailed maps of your home to ensure that your home is properly arranged.
This robot vacuum is effective on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It is able to take large objects and doesn't lose suction as quickly as other models do, and it can even pick up pet hair without much difficulty. It's not the best time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot claims it will improve in the future with new models.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are widely used however we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with a superior filtration system, which prevents tiny particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We think this is a nice claim, but not enough to justify a higher price.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of a combination of sensors to remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. It can then clean your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundary markers to ensure that the robot is aware of the areas that require attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vac settings are as effective as those of higher-end models and its mopping feature is even better. Its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibration pad.
The only issue is the lack of a second brush to allow for more thorough cleaning. However, that's not a major issue when you're looking to purchase one of the best robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank also bigger than those on many of its rivals and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even at the highest dirt level.
In terms of the mopping device, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub the tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping settings that it has that are less powerful than high-powered settings, produce low noise, which means you can work or watch television without getting distracted. If it comes into contact with a wall or furniture piece it gently bumps into it before moving along.
The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically transfers physical trash into the bin hidden from view and also washes and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is capable of nagging you only when something needs attention, for example, the clean water tank running low or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.
You can also design and merge actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo treats your abode. This feature is helpful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home or if you need to regularly get rid of clutter like clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, picking up debris from both carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It is able to even remove wet spills but I would suggest drying them using a clean cloth before bringing the robot in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that has all the features you could need. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum that has powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, plus a rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also has a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor that recognizes obstacles better, allowing it to avoid falling onto furniture and other objects.
The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the sleeker, more modern design. This is due to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still large--it measures over two feet in height and depth and weighs in at least four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.
This version is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has faster battery charging and can handle a full cleaning of around 1,500 square feet with just one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when required.
Additionally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and an assistant voice that works offline, allowing you to use it even if you're away from home. It also has more mopping modes and a smart routing feature which allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of just following a set path.
The Omni X2 Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its rotating mop pads that remove tough stains and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent too, and it boosts suction when it detects carpets to ensure that it does an excellent job. It has a large rechargeable battery that lasts up to one week. The mopping mode of the robot is also extremely effective.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end mop and robot vacuum that comes with a range of features that you aren't likely to find on robots in this price. It can make precise floor maps and read more recognize different flooring types. It's also among the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. Although these features are useful however, they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category, which might make it somewhat more expensive than some homeowners need.
It is designed to look like a modern floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish highlighted by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage while moving through the house. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology with sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum there is a single button that serves as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The circular menu at the middle of the control panel lets you to select cleaning modes, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons allow you to access the settings in the app, where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to map out your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop efficiently, without getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR also helps the robot vacuum detect and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for households with pets or children.
The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4% debris from our test on hard floors and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops are also quite efficient, clearing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our tile, wood, and carpet tests. It was not as effective in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
